bugga me bob, there most be allot of races out there that I don't know of, I only know of two time a year that there is an 090 only race in qld, and haven't heard of any in northern NSW, where are the others located? If there are more I might have to get one of them u 'bute stihl oh nine oh's to go into my plant of saws

Well at one stage you used to keep me informed but but not any longer maybe i should call you secret Squirrel 2 maybe my interest in the 090 will generate a little jealousy and get a few out of mothballs or just maybe i'll have to fire up the ol china gal and travel north to terrorize the locals.

Have you seen the current Husky ad on TV Get the saw ands get the look well i hope the look isnt like a fag at the mardi-gras ..................

so if its getting past the rings that would be okish at this stage due to not having full ring seal yet?

oh and check this video of my turbo if you get the chance:

HS International 2.8tgv VNT turbo leaking air - YouTube

Personally I would lift the head, the last thing you want to see is a valve go sliding down the guide into the piston. New head gasket is cheap insurance, and you can check the bores while the head is off.

Looking good McBob, only one little problem I see - there is a major air gap in the spark plug lead... it may be hard to start in this configuration.

Oo look what I got in the mail today - this will have to go straight to the pool room :jester:

I think the northen Locals will be safe,:hmm3grin2orange: but you will most likley get some reaction from the little birds in your backyard if you get it going:msp_tongue:

Plenty of 0 9 oh's around there ridges here that come out for this 090 only race, it is a memorial race for a local cutter that loved his 090 and worked it everyday and would come to town for the show and race and would win. He was a well respected bloke and having this memorial race in his memory is a testimony to the respect everyone had for him, that is why there has been minimal modifications to most saws in that race. Running a chingaling-dingaling copy would be just disrespectful to the honour of ol mate.

Just my 2 cents

Will

as for the mardi gras reference bob, wtf, sorry, I don't see much telly these days, to busy working
