I haven't worked on one but know a guy who bought 4 and none made it past 12 months without the carby packing it in.

thank i think that might be the same with this one got spark and no fuel

My mate Larry, the local small engine/chainsaw guru bought half a dozen a few years back and got stung but the importer was good about replacements.
I can ask what the issue was, but carby does ring a bell.

Its a G5000 Redmax/Komatsu/Zoahan copy so common parts should fit. The motor inside them is reasonably good quality but the bits around it can give trouble, leaking fuel lines, carbys, etc etc.

Hey try to tone it down a bit old son as Neil just PM'd me and seemed quite emotional that you didn't mention him instead...

hahahahahahahah, bastard

Having a lovely time up here, 3 deg in the shed tonight and i'm been packing gear today for the shift.

AFAIK.

Carlton were getting bars made by Oregon and Tsumura at the same time. The Carlton/Tsumura relationship ended a while back so now the Tsumura bars imported by Jakmax in Australia are all branded Tsumura. Unfortunately Jakmax can't really import a larger range of Tsumura bars due to their contractual obligations with Carlton.

All Made In Japan :D
Now Carlton are running with the same company running Windsor Speed Tips etc. Got me stuffed why they are bloody swapping suppliers every 5 minutes. I think it's basically been a new manufacturer every year on average.

Hello all, taking a bit to catch up, leave for a few days and everything seems to happen

On the racing scene we had the Qld title race for the 100cc and open post rips run and won over the weekend in Gympie Q, a big thank you to Brownie Logging for putting the race on and supplying all the timber for the day

The 2013 Qld 100cc post rip title holder is Wayne Donovan of Crows Nest Qld

and the Open Post rip Title was won by Trever Baker of Aratula Qld

Next weekend there are races at Maryborough and Esk on sat (I'm headed for Esk), Spending most nights now working on saws and chains, no break in the action for another month

Any Chinese 090's place anywhere mate?

You missed the Oregon lookalike, made in Germany Carlton's too Matt that sort of fitted between the Tsumura's and Oregon's.

Nice bits of steel, better noses than Oregon but stupidly thick and soft clearcoat that melted everywhere in use :(

Paint stripper fixed it, and with a bit of dressing of the rails to match the nose to the bar a bit better they are a brilliant bar.
The 3120 was wearing a 30" version today.

As you said, a different manufacturer every year.

The Windsor's (nee Sandvik) have a fantastic reputation in North America, be interesting to see how they hold up to use here.

I'd love a 36"+ Tsumura lightweight, but it isn't going to happen unless I'm very lucky.
