Dunno kiwibro as a multinational will mine it! Then sell it to overseas markets and we will then still import what was our own oil ;) only the government will benefit through another tax they implement

So that's where the Aussie miners here in NZ learnt that trick?

As long as you guys get more Kiwi imports of the calibre of that plonka who streaked during the state of O game, then all is forgiven.

Did the lucky country get a whole lot more so?
Business Oil find 'can fuel Australia' - Weekly Times Now

I'll check this out with a few mates in the mining industry but when you see figures thrown around like this be very wary. It is marketing 101 to inflate figures so that investors will want to spend all their money on projects like this.
We had the same BS happen in our region with the Mindarie Mine project where they decided to mine for Zircon in the sands around the region - the original figures they threw around were that enticing that every man and their dog peed their pants in excitement and it would definitely have to be a win win situation for everybody. They went arse over head in a few years and the amount of Zircon that was mined was so far below estimates that it wasn't funny.
Don't stress though as the guys that came up with the bogus figures to entice investors wouldn't have lost a cent.

Righto you blokes who's watching the ashes? I recon we are gunna be stuffed like a Xmas turkey

Inside the first hour with the Poms 3 for 32, go to be happy with that start. Don't stress Johnny Howard is sorting it all out with the Queen.

Seems like I've found what I need :tongue2:

and as its not cutty cutty balsa wood only
chain, you don't know where to get it :potstir:

Cutty Cutty Balsa Wood™ was a chain I designed and trademarked for our Northern Hemisphere cousins.

The other chain I designed for Australian Hardwoods was Cutty Cutty Bastard Wood™.

Here's sumfin out of left field. Or, uh, insert cricket analogy here rather. Anywho, my fiance is lookin at a VW Amarok. So I'm in Ireland. But, maybe you guys got it there and know of it? This American had a look at said "WTF?!". A VW, but it's a pick up? So yeah.

Oh, what's news, btw? Oh, btw, I got engaged. ;)

Hey congrats on the engagement old son

As far as the Amaroks go I know a number of people with them. Guys that drive them predominantly on the road like them and they have excellent fuel economy for their size.
However...

...Because they are only a 2L diesel they have crap low down torque (like most small diesels in large vehicles) and their drivability at low speeds off road is useless. On paper their power and torque specs look impressive but on the road you then realise that despite having good peak torque their useable torque is pretty bad.

You probably can't get them where you are but the new Ford Rangers with the 3.2L 5 cylinder diesel kick their arse.

You can get the Rangers with the 3.2, but gebus are they expensive. Well, it's not like the Anoraks are cheap, either. I know I am gonna end up with the hand-me-down either way(An S40 1.8). Which means this will eventually get handed down to me ;) So I sorta do have a dog in the race. WHich is the idea - we both have Greyhounds as pets. SO we are looking in to getting a more hound-friendly vehicle. I was thinking Land Cruiser myself. They are actually more affordable than Hilux's. Everyone and their mother wants a lux. Dmax's aren't cheap, either. It's all silly. The MOT/DOE/NCT/ road safety torture test have rid the streets of most affordable cars. So, all used cars are expensive. Bah.
