Thats it!

Protected dvds to hard drive. Ie borrowed ones, new release etc.

And me mates foxtel to my hard drive. I text them to record stuff i wanna watch then have to hang around for days watching it all. Theyre 3hrs away so id rather take it hm to watch at my leisure.

Will have a read up on the fox stuff.

It was dvd shrink i used for them, nice one. Ive tried others but that one was the best.

Any of you wizzes know how to 'back up' stuff recorded on foxtel to a harddrive for use with a laptop? And what program will do the same to dvds easily? Had a thingo on me last laptop to do it but it was needed more by another and disappeared one day along with a skateboard,gos,2 wallets, a camera and a whole bunch of other stuff. Guess i was done with it all.

As you can probably guess, im not too computer minded! Pretty handy with cutting stuff up n putting it back together and 'tweeking' things but not things pc.
Usually have a nerd at my disposal but not at the mo sadly

A really good program I have is ConvertXtoDVD (ConvertXtoDVD - Free download and software reviews - CNET Download.com). Once you get the video file onto your computer you just drag and drop into this program and it will encode it and burn it to DVD format. Another handy download is the Mega Codec Pack (Download K-Lite Codec Pack Mega) so that you can basically view any video format on your computer.

I don't have freckles or coke bottle glasses but one thing I have done over the last 10 years is crack a truckload of encrypted video files :)

dvd shrink used to be the best but for legal reasons it hasn't been updated since 2005, but there's other options if needed.

The old man

I spoke to the old man this arvo something that happens about once every two years or so any how I picked his brains in square filling bearing in mind he hasn't played with saws for about 15 years or more rattled the angles off like he had just sharpened one . Then said good luck if I start now I might be ok at it by the time I'm his age :dizzy: But he gave me tome tips to keep under my hat .and I asked him about this cutty cutty chain he said they can't get it in Darwin as it needs to be transported in a kryptonite box and there currently un available. NB some of this might be bull####

No matter how experienced your dad is he would never had heard of my Cutty Cutty series of chains and even if they were available in his day few men can mentally cope with how fast they cut, even on ported 2100's. I developed these in recent years in association with NASA, the FBI, the CIA, and the SAS. Of course I was the brains behind their development and as far as the Kryptonite goes that is just an urban myth. We trialled Kryptonite but in the end it didn't hold an edge very well so we settled on Unobtanium sourced from an Indian mine.
This is why I don't want Neil to get hold of them as despite him winning a heap of national chainsaw racing titles the cutting speed of these would be that foreign to him that he may even have a stroke. Or two. Or even multiple strokes. Then a cigarette.

I think he must be able to see in to the future he told me there would be a short nugget of a man that's very handy with a saw that would give his left hairy one for a cutty cutty long time

I know 100% you're not referring to me Andrew. Unless of course you want to mill that big Redgum log by yourself? Crikey old son. Anyway, it's not BS, it's fact. You have to believe me, even with no videos or photos. I'll bring you down one of these chains to look at. I may even let you sniff and touch it.

Neil is that solid that it's a tough call to tell sometimes whether he's standing up or laying on his side. Either way he's the same height.
