Wow thanks I have called Stihl dealers all over my region and could not get any info on the saw. :censored:

2 days here and have the 2 most important docs out there. :jawdrop:

I'd avoid those dealers in the future - they sure could have helped you if they cared to......

I have taken some pics of this homelite saw that I need to identify and get a service manual for. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thx to cjcocn for prodding around in his stuff. I hope these pics will help.

I couldn't find anything on the "271" either, but wrote it off to my limited knowledge of saws and my slightly less limited collection of literature.
