Masculator, chew on this; how do you explain the 170/180, 210/230/250, 290/310/390/ 291/311/391, 270/280, 171/181????? and the 460/440 aren't that far apart.

The 291 doesn't fit in there, as it is based on the 261, not the 362 - it is a smaller saw than the 311/391. :msp_wink:

Several of the "lesser" saws you listed aren't offered for sale here, for good reasons!

Ive wondered that for years. Why the close in cc saws. Must have been a price thing for sure all ii have come up with. But I think the manufacturerer's made the mistsake of letting the prices get to close, so there is not as much value now. So no brainer get the bigger one. I have never run a 064 or the 650 so, but plenty of 046-ms 460. In fact I have a 660, and a 044. I know the 440 isnt de- tuned. And the 288-now 390, and they had the 385. Ive run 288's and I will tell you they fell alot of big timber, and werent de tuned. So the 650 must be close, but the 365's Ive run would'nt replace my 044 or a 372. They are a great saw though.

There must be another brand new one that was recently added to the Husqvarna website then.

The 365 isn't listed on the Husqvarna website currently. I'm sure it's been removed until they get it updated with the new x-torq version information. Hopefully they can update it accurately. Maybe while they're at it they'll throw on the 562/555 information as well.....

the website is worth jack #### as far as new product information is concerned. It does have all the good IPLs and manuals on the support end. But for new stuff it's either outdated, wrong or incomplete for most recent models.

While it is very unfortunate, it is also very true.

That's interesting

My dealer gave me a hard copy of the 2011 product offering. The 555, 562XP, and the 365 are all in there. Curious as to how they have the data to put up in the catalog but not on the website. Most companies work 180 degrees from there as updating the website is so much less expensive than printing catalogs.

As to the accuracy of product data the catalog takes the same liberties with the actual facts we've all come to expect from Husky. The 365 for example has either 5.5 or 4.6 hp, weighs either 14.11 or 13 lbs, and has either 65.1 or 70.7 cc depending upon which page you're on.

Take Care

That is a mix of specs for the traditional 365 and the X-torq version + a power one "borrowed" from the 372 xp xt - the 365 xt specs is 70.7cc, 3.6 kW/4.9 hp and 14.1 lbs.

I will give stihl some credit here, they take the technical side of things and presentation of data very seriously. Any time I have emailed them about content on their website, it's been followed up with emails and a phone call from someone who knows something and gives a damn.

its not?

Powerful Chainsaw | Husqvarna | Professional

i see it right there for $589.99....

That is not the saw in the OP. That saw is 65cc and the one Spike is showing is 70cc.

the website basically has yet to list the 372 xtorque or the 365 xtorque; there may be a news/press release but...

The JRed site through tilton has the 2172 listed and had a press release about that.

I was trying to reason whether it's because they dont want to throw dealers with old stock under the rug or if they're just ignorant with their web updates...

I didn't pull the link out of my arse.

It was posted to the Husky website a few weeks ago. The specs match the older saw, as do the gas/oil caps in the saw pictured. However, the muffler is different if you look closely. I wouldn't say that the site is accurate in the least, but the saw did appear after a few year hiatus.

That's the 65cc version, not the new XT with 71cc

Thats fine...but wood grenade was pointing out that they just put the 365 back up there...with the wrong and or outdated specs...

He was correct and thats what i said...others who put the horse before the cart disagreed....
