We call him...... Clutchmaster

Worked with the real mccoy on my stint of line clearance, watched him burn up the clutch on a Bandit 250. Watching the smoke roll out was impressive.

That would be a perfect tat.... right cheek:msp_scared:

I knew that was coming.

how the hell do you roast a clutch on a chipper? engage it full throttle with a log jammed in it?

If you are persistent I'm sure you could do it at idle with just a twig jam.

I was following a brand new 250xp to the job, for 20 miles I kept wondering what that smell was. I didn't realize they had the thing running in gear with a log jam. It was cold, they were trying to keep it warm I guess.
Believe it or not they took it to the shop, un-jammed it, brought it back and it was OK. If I would have known they started it before we left the yard it would have dawned on me to chirp them and tell em to pull over.

You don't generally need much advice, so I won't offer any. Good luck in your new ventures.

BTW: I completely understand knee problems. Best to move into something you can do, rather that wait for your occupation to become something you can't do.

The knee problem is what put the guy who first taught me to climb out of business... When he blew his knee out I got a crash course on doing large removals. Sorry to hear about that buddy.

Sounds like you need to find a young grasshopper to teach the ways of the Zen master to... Of course, if the wife is not happy that could make for a miserable situation.

I hear you on the sales deal. I hate that worse than anything these days. I still get a rush when I make a large sale but most of the time it just feels like I am reading from a script. If I could just do the climbing and the work I would be happy. Just spent all night getting my ads together and spent most of the day buying the crap I need to rewire my stumper and new trailer... And did not make a penny today. Nor will I tomorrow when I have to work on that stuff. It's definitely a full time job... Wish I knew some other legal way to make money...

Which ever way you go I wish you the best.

Of all people it YOU that needs to take a breath and calm down bubbers.:msp_wink:

LOL, Im fine Danno, Im just a little more blunt & to the point about the scum in our trade....! which is a good reason to pursue other avenues!
