The Fire Pit Thread

One of our camping fire pots- bottom 1/3 of a 44 gallon drum sitting in a frame. For transporting, the pot sits inside the frame when it (the frame) is rotated upside down.
Grate is used for all our cooking, and when removed the pot is large enough to have a decent sized fire for winter warmth.

Stainless steel low smoke fire pit. Once hot it burns off almost all the smoke as seen in that pic. We’ve burned in it twice now.

nice - definitely a wood burning stove!

a fire in my L R fireplace other evening... installed in 1979! Majestic 36" asbestos firebrick. just before outlawed! over the years of use... the firebrick still looks all but brand new! i put a 36" in MBR... and had to replace the back of unit within 3 years... and firebox actually smaller. even though front 36". u have an ash dump?

what was in it. nice set up!... i have a few like that. a 'once-in-a-lifetime' scrounge... pots, fry pans, dutch ovens, etc... i use some, some just gather dust...

What else on a cool evening besides some great chili!!! Tastes so good around the fire. We all had 3 bowls!
