Here is a link to Mike Acres site which shows detailed pictures of the Dolmar "Model A". This saw was the first portable gas powered chain saw built in 1927 by Dolmar.

These are the first detailed pictures that I have found of this chain saw. The chain saw is 245cc / 14.95 Cu.In. and only 128 Pounds.

I wonder how thick the bar is--it looks thin from what I can see. I bet Dolmar would've gotten along well with Rotax Robert.

I would think with the way its set up it would be optimally operated by 3 men, not 2.

as far as HOW to operate it, probably similar to operating a modern saw, except for manually engaging the clutch, and the looking to a side to watch what you're cutting. just think though, if you threw a chain, it'd go clear past you, not into your leg.
