Thats a brute of a saw. That thing has its own jack stands, cool as hell..
 
I wonder how thick the bar is--it looks thin from what I can see. I bet Dolmar would've gotten along well with Rotax Robert. :D
 
Only 128 pounds? hmm, its heavier than me then. good workout to use it I'd imagine. still interesting to read about.
 
I would think with the way its set up it would be optimally operated by 3 men, not 2.

as far as HOW to operate it, probably similar to operating a modern saw, except for manually engaging the clutch, and the looking to a side to watch what you're cutting. just think though, if you threw a chain, it'd go clear past you, not into your leg.
