The paths make it easy enough I guess. Using an arch is a slow process.
Winching I never quite got unless perhaps in winter so as not to drag a log through dirt. But then I live where it is pretty flat and other downed wood was always accessible. Although the arch pictured is a fetching arch, where the atv neck with hand winch is unpinned, and replaced with an eye for attaching a bull rope, I have never had an opportunity to use it that way, or the additional equipment needed to use it that way.

I generally split the logs down further for bundled firewood because they are usually used for outdoor campfires rather than heating a building. The smaller logs make them easier to light in an open fire. So, it will be interesting to see how many cords of wood it will take to produce 9,000 bundles.

I generally can't get more than 70 bundles to the cord, 8 to 9 logs per bundle. There is also waste involved, and useless bark often falls off during the split. That's volume in the cord that never makes it to the bundle.
