Here is a parts/project saw Sears d-44 it was made by Tecumseh Power products by info given to me. The sears number is in the pic 917.351040. It has 110psi by my gauge. The cylinder still has cross hatching on the back side but the upper side of the piston has some transfer. It looks like the parts are there but there is no spark right now. It looks like someone tried to seal the tank with epoxy of some type.
Primarily I am looking for bar plates, a handlebar and 16" chain for a Mcculloch 10-10 or
Secondarily a Clutch cover, recoil side cover, air cleaner cover and handlebar for a Homelite SXL-AO. The Homelite saw runs good but it has a lot of cracked pieces.
Cool saw! Thanks for the message! I have just discovered thru a few pics on this site that Sears made a Lightwieght. Never heard of it before. I have 2 Sears d44's, but they are not a Lightweight. I wonder what the significant difference is between mine and yours? Kinda intrigued! When we first started working on mine it had 80psi. We found out it had a blown head gasket, so my husband made a new one and as of last night we checked the compression again and to my surprise it has 112psi! Awesomeness!!! My other Sears I just got; haven't really messed with it yet, also doesn't have spark. I think it may be the points are gunky! We only jimmy-jacked around with it for a few minutes though. Next one to be restored soon! Thanks for sharing! If you take anymore pics, please let me know! I love Mr. Poppets! Haha!
