Hello gents - I am needing a piston for a Poulan 245A. Please don't laugh, I am serious.

Got $$ and unusual Oz stuff to trade.

Al.

Okay... time to ask. Why the heck did you sell that thing? You'd have trouble getting me to sell it if I owned one...

Sold it to build my ex wife a home for her and my kids.
But don't worry i still have 5 more muscle cars.

Many years ago I had a 66 Chevelle , with a 396 and four speed.:msp_biggrin:

Those are sweet cars Cliff, I have a 69 Chevelle with factory 396 L78 motor
375HP 4sp but it needs restoration. But i always liked the 66 style.

Updated want/need list:

Spark plug door/cover for a Pioneer 3200.

Coil for a Homie C5.

A serviceable piston for a Remington PL-5.

Handle brace and trigger for a Poulan 306A.

Parts from or parts saws to trade:

Remington SL-9, PL-4, PL-5 and SL-55A. Homelite XL-12. Homelite XL-101 bits. Homelite C5 carcass

Remington GL-7 project saw.

I am in need of the NOS lower front mount for a McCulloch 125. The OEM part number is 85898 and it looks like this same mount was used on many different models including the 125, 105, sp60, sp70, sp80, sp81, PM 800, PM 805, PM8200, Double Eagle 80 and some others.

I have a NOS set of std 125 thin rings, part number 85608, for trade. If you don't need the rings I may be able to come up with something else, just let me know what you are looking for. These rings can also be used in the Homelite 750 if you grind the gap slightly, should also work in the 650 if you grind the gap a little more.

Johnnie - e-bay can be your friend in this case, those mounts are available almost all the time.

Bob Johnson could be a good alternative as well (607 638 9297) just be patient as he can be a busy guy at times and only works by phone.

Mark

I am keeping a check on Ebay but all I see at the moment is a used one, used would work but would prefer NOS. I have found a couple NOS buffers on a couple of Kart websites at decent prices, but I wanted to see if anyone here had one before I went that direction.

I have 3-4 sets of those McCulloch 125 rings if anyone has anything 125 related to trade.

I'm seeking a roller nose bar for a Homelite 750. 36" or better would be ideal but......

I have many bits for the 650 and 750 to trade.

what a strange place for a break on a spring. ususally its right near the end.
needle nosed pliers and some heat you may be able to cobble a workable spring. that one ain't good for much as it is. never know til you try.

I broke one the other day on a Remington SL4 in generally the same place.

That tight curl that engages the pulley is hard to duplicate. The 180 deg. hook style, not near as bad. Gotta love Fairbanks-Morse.

Gotta use a torch and get it cherry red.......then it's doable but still a #####. :msp_sad:

I have a .063 ga. x 32" in great shape. Not sure what it was originally built for, but I ran it on a 655BP for a little while.
