Dammit............................the powers that be have decided to un-stickie the thread that I just stickied a week or so ago. Look like we better keep posting in this bad-boy to keep it on the first page. I'd re-sticky it...........but I haven't recovered the credits from the last time I stickied this thread (and they'd probably just un-stickie it again anyways).

I think I have seen this saw somewhere.:msp_rolleyes::wink2::msp_biggrin:

I em not liking the un-sticky's. There were some sticky threads that could of
been dropped but not all of them. I guess whining works.

I agree with you Cliff. BTW..................you've seen the Super 250 that's hiding behind the big Homelite too!

I see it there. Did you get it going yet?
I have another Super 250 I might sell.
Do have any front handle bars and mounting bracket for a Mac 790 or 795?

Not yet cliff. It's still wait its turn in line. I do have a couple spare handlebars and brackets for the 790/795 saws. They're not perfect by any means. Functional, but they have some dents/scratches and minor bends...

You have ANOTHER McCulloch Super 250 to part with??? Aaron's VERY interested.:D

Is it a runner? PM me with info if you want. Not sure what you'd want in trade. I do have a nice 650 gear drive McCulloch that's just a bit of carb tinkering (HL63 I swapped in is still acting funny) and a bumper spike away from being 100% back on the job. Otherwise, I'm short on the $$$ as you know...

I had it running a few years ago. I will need to get out and check it.
650 gear drive sounds good. The paint on the Super 250 is not that great.
From what I remember it did have good compression.
I need the mounting bracket on the 790/795 more then I need the handle.

I read your PM (and responded) before I read your post here. Doya have a bar and chain to go with it? I have a 26" hardnose and a good loop of 1/2" on the 650. Will probably have the carb completely sorted out on Thursday. I'm sure we can work something out...

I'm pretty sure I have a good 790/795 top bracket I can send you. Will check and get back to you.

Hey, Aaron, is it OK I borrowed your sig logo?

Sure Steve......................as long as you tell me how you got more than one pic to show up in your sig line. I put an IHC logo in there, but it disappeared when I tried to add the "Mac in the Box" logo you borrowed. I just grabbed that Mac logo from a google search.

And one more to the pile!

Good job Randy! An SP125 is on my 'list' for sure...

I don't mean to foul this thread with some newer muscle but here goes. Nice collections of saws so far gents :D

And a video with 60" bar and .404" skip semi chisel in Pine...

I alway's tell guy's that claim the 372 or 44, or even a little bigger, that can keep up with the big cube's. Let's go up a bar size on both saw's and cut the long way, and not the round side, and we will see.

I agree Norm.
Even on shorter bars ported saws only one or two classes below the big boys struggle once you lean into them a bit (although one or two classes IS about 25-30cc as far as modern saws go). "Self feeding" is one thing, laying into the dawgs and forcing them through the wood is another and this is where the torque counts. The below video is only in about 22" hardwood with brand new RSC. By the time the 3120 got to use the same chain it was already going off the cut yet it still pounded my other saws. Running ported 79-90cc saws all the time makes me lose a bit of respect for my 3120. I have to break her out now and then just to remember that this thing has a lot more grunt than the others (plus a distinct boat anchor disadvantage :) ). The pop upped 660 I had would have been close in wood like this but still no cigar once you put a bit of weight on the whole show...

You can insert the image using IMG insert just like you would in a post so don't use the sig picture function (or you can use it but also add the IMG images) I loaded the images in my Photobucket account and then linked them here. The problem I ran into was I exceeded the 500 character limit in the sig so had to delete one. It also gives you the option to hotlink the image which use a lot less characters than using Photobucket which I will do when I get around to it as the Sachs Dolmar and Jonsered logo are their original size.

My old sig logo was lots of different logos combined into one image in Paint, then linked into my sig like Wendell did above. This is the one I'm talking about:
