Yes it is the early model. I have a big jug for it, but it runs so nice that I don't think that I will mess with it much.

wondering if mines ben changed to the 66mm ? or if it came that way. it doe's have the 66mm on it. i have a 60" cannon for it but i need to change the spur to a .404.

Somebody's full of piss and vinegar today!:jester:

Not necessarily so, young Aaron ...

Despite the fact that I nearly set my arm on fire this afternoon and this 031 is driving me a bit nuts, it was a day that edged just above mediocre. I did make a small amount of progress on the PM81 today, soon the paint will be done; boy it looks sorry.

Tomorrow will be better after I pick up my latest acquisition and scope out 'all the other saws' he has over there. Supposedly has a bu**load of Homies and one BIG Jonsered. He also has a storage area 15 miles NE of me ....

At least it was "nearly". Keep me posted about said buttload of Homies. That way I'll know if I need to knock over a quick-e-mart for some spendin' cashola...:jester:

38's young? Why do I feel old already???

That bar make it look really nice Wendell, looks like you managed to come up with the manual oiler as well.

Now let's check on the date of manufacture to see if that bad boy can honestly compete in the vintage over 5 In³ class.

Mark

Edit - Acres says introduced in 1984, looks like you can run it for an exhibition but doesn't quite make the 1979 cut off date. I guess you will still have to come up with an SP125 or 090.

I don't believe Acres is accurate but I haven't yet found definitive information. What I have found is 1982 so I'm still ineligible.

Although this saw has eased me CAD considerably, the SP125 is now next on my bucket list. Or a 797. Or a 111S

I believe your right wendel, 1982 is what i have found as well.

Do your self a favor, Skip the SP125 as they are plentiful,
Go straight for the 797 and don't look back.
One of the best all time american muscle saws out there.

The last 6 weeks have been great for my "CAD" but bad for my wallet. Picked up some good ones! My laptop is down so I am posting from my phone and I think I can only post one pic per reply so bare with.
