Everybody who looked at that shot of Randy immediately had their eye drawn to that stylin' hat of his. He could have been hacking at that log with a pocket knife and no one would have noticed .....

.............except for the McThunder coming from that mighty saw. There's a backstory to that hat. Randy was a good sport to wear it again this year...

I think Roland could compete with Lee for numbers of big saws...chances are better for Lee to find a place where he can actually use them however.

I expect Belgian has to pay a noise tax or at least get a permit just to be able to start one of those saw in the back garden.

My soon to be 6.44 ci 790 is still on the bench...

So in its place I will post a pic of my 6.04 ci 1-76 parts saw... which has been torn down to supply most of its parts to the 790 project...

I've got to get this #### painted, and the 790 cylinder bored... then it's all downhill from there... an air filter would be a good idea though... I think that will be the only thing I'll need other than the carb kit for the Mac flatback and fuel lines... and a bag of sand, and paint... yep, I will be sandblasting these for the fresh paint to stick. The engine itself will be left alone. But the oil tank, fuel tank, tins, etc. will all be painted a nice yellow, or maize maybe?

Oooooooooooooo ..... I LIKE that ..... but I like Belgian's twins better! :D

Chris, Now thats one sweet Model 99 Mac.
They don't come much nicer than that.

Lee

Thanks Lee - she is a nice old girl. It is now looking better thanks to Cliff who supplied me with a points cover and a really nice falling spike to top it off. The saw is a runner and sounds pretty cool. I would like to find a replacement muffler for this machine as the original is a little knocked about.

Regards,

Chris.
