Would you guys believe that I just got a call from Husky, and guess what? There's a bunch of 372's for sale! They are allowed to bring in 3200 units without incurring any EPA penalties.

While this is good news, I'm going to have a lot of people thinking I'm nuts for saying "They're really all gone this time", and now they're back again.

Not as good news is that they went up quite a bit from last years "last chance".

Get 'em while they're hot!

Starting to sound like a big marketing scam to me.
Push the sale drives and then hold back.
Starts slowing down and release some more.
Whatever floats their boat I guess.

EPA saw limits...

I dunno, the EPA is really srewey with quotas and stuff. Land Rover could only bring in so many smoggy D90s into the US, then a few more, then a few less. Every year the number was different. Some kind of fleet smog average based on sales of less smoggy vehicles. It looks like a marketing scam on the surface, but usually is not.

I can see a bright future for grey market chainsaws...

Order up the Stihl, Dolamr or Husky saw of your dreams, go to Europe, see the shiney new saw come off the factrory line, then tour europe with your new saw cutting some firewood and a few trees and stuff... then fly home with your 'used' saw in your luggage.

awww, husky did it again.... I wonder how many times they can bring back 372 to usa...

:hmm3grin2orange: :hmm3grin2orange:

As long as there is a demand and they can earn the epa credits by selling the choked up,restricted, leaned out e-tech's.

Didnt I mention this happening back in Nov/Dec?;)

Yes you did Ben!

And I brought it up at a service school and was told that there wouldn't be another encore this year.

You might also remember that I learned about last years batch from you. Otherwise, I'd have missed out.

I believe most Americans would be scared off by the prices here..........;)

Now the obvious question

Will it be the 70.7 piston and jug? Or the 74.7 piston and jug like the 372XPGW whatever the heck the number was for the Baileys units

It would be too easy to make it 72cc like the model would indicate :hmm3grin2orange: :hmm3grin2orange:

Scott

The saws are leftovers that have not sold in other world markets.....so who knows what they will appear as......If they are 70.7s they are leftovers....if they are 74s they are remans of their now dropped worlds worst cutoff saws.

They are now selling Partners in orange with a black top.

I remember well the Husky rep boasting to me that the Husky cut off saws were FAR superior to the Partners we sold....:hmm3grin2orange:

FWIW service schools, sales reps, etc usually do not have a clue whats going on until it happens.
I might also add the my source for info on the subject is none other than my dealer. The one I described as being one of the few on the ball in the other thread.
I know one thing, in ym area when 372's are in stock there are no 575's being sold.

In my own mind I've moved to the 7900 from the 371/2 (cause I like em stock and quiet). But if they threaten to discountinue the 395 I will probably have to buy 2 more just because nothing else in that class is so smooth.

I would be inconsolable if I had to be without one.:(
