Will it be the 70.7 piston and jug? Or the 74.7 piston and jug like the 372XPGW whatever the heck the number was for the Baileys units

I believe that Grande Dogg stated that the new units would be the original 71cc, not the 74/5 of the current full wrap models.

I suspect there is more to this than just the 372. Want to bet HUsky, Stihl, Dolmar and whowever else hasn't been huddled with the EPA? In late October we were told to place our final orders for the 440, then not that much later we got a notice saying there would be more available though 1st Q2007... Of course the PNW storms might have put a big dent into that inventory, but for now we can still get the 440.

But the end is coming...:( :( 3200 sounds like a lot, but if that's a drop in the bucket for the USA...

I'm confused:confused: Isn't the j-red 2171 a red 372?Has there been any shortage of the 2171's?If they are basically the same saw, what's all the fuss about.Yes I realise the 372 is probably one of the most successful pro saws ever made, but if you can't get a 372,why not buy a 2171?

Simple...you can't find them cheaper online no online sales and Jonsered actually enforces their policy as do some others.

Actually Jonsered chooses to use their EPA credits a bit differently, and continue to bring in the 2171. Plus, there is no Jonsered version of the 575XP yet.

Price wise, dealer cost on the new 372's is $77 more than the cost of a 2171. With the gap that large, I went easy on the 372's.
