Nice haul. Sounds like you will be busy. You get shoulder wood and cold weather wood only thing better would be if it was already c/s/s for you!

6"-8" raise on that receiver would start to level out that trailer. Might be something to think about over the 2"-3" drop your using.

lol that would be to easy now oly!!... can't go through life just doing the easy way? ....
@olyman Ha! You ever try to do that after one winter of road salt?

Trying to do that very same thing I put a 6' breaker bar (pipe) on mine and stood on it. Even my fat butt couldn't get it to unscrew. Went to Walmart and bought a second receiver.

I once managed to get a ball off, but I destroyed the threads (and a huge pipe wrench) in the process. Glad I found a few hitches and balls at an auction - got a couple more than I need now.

Nice load and awesome to have a good place to cut.

Yeah I have wrecked a few threads on balls over the years. I think I got 5 receivers floating around my truck. Need one for every different trailer it seems to keep ride height ok. A little anti-seize on the threads does seem to helps lot in the off chance you got to flip one.

undo the ball, and flip the two inch over...
Your suggestion might be an excellent one if he needed to raise the trailer 3/4"- 1" to make the trailer level. But to my naked eye that would vitrually accomplish nothing to level the trailer and only waste a whole bunch of his time and a great amount of effort.
So, based on your sound advise, I am going to suggest he just leave his hitch alone and spend the time posting on the Arboristsite to increase his post count. Yup!

A lot of very accomplished people in life often come to realise at a very early age that what "seems" like the easy way out, often is not or accomplishes very little. They also realise not to follow the advise of fools. . .
Have you ever heard the old saying Mr Chucker?
"Great minds think alike . . .Fools seldom differ". . . Which one are you Mr Chucker?
