lol. you wish man.

we get in that tree together and i'll show what the combination of power, grace and thought can do. you might be able to squirrel you way out to them tips

You got it mixed up. I'm the one doing tips, I don't want to spank you, you're not my type. :greenchainsaw:

thats great bob. i think its awesome the strides youve made since you first got into it.

nothing like hanging around in the tree huh? the views, the quiet, you focusing in on your moves. it might not be as good as a lovely woman but sometimes when the tree is doing all that you want its close.

best gig around, climbing trees.

You got that right! But planting them ain't to bad either.

When I am rigging or even when I bombing stuff out of a big tree I like to climb a central lead or set a line with a big shot and get a good central TIP where I can swing around. Saves time climbing because I don't have to clip and unclip my lanyard while bypassing limbs. I just tend my slack as I go up. Only time I really climb without a set line anymore is on the rare pine or single stem hardwood where I can chop, top and drop. Most of the trees I do are either multi-stemmed or have large limbs that I need to get out on so it makes it easier to have a good central TIP set before I ascend.

Wow you should rename this thread climbers with long arms to pat themselves on the back with, heres a news flash your all just fish in a sea of great climbers , maybe since you've mastered tree climbing and etiquette class would be in order....

whats underneath the tree? where is the best tip to work from? any good lowering points? how many groundies do you got and can you try to bury them? can you get the chipper close and go big? what are you doing with the wood?

all that and more will dictate the process.

brokeback is what is gonna happen to you ,old timer, if you try to keep up with me. (and i mean that in the most heterosexual way possible!!)

i dont know.....seems the only way you southern boys can get into a tree is by spike, ladder, or bucket.

what say you to that? lol

I miss wll too, he was a good dude.

I missed when he got banned. I sent him a pm at another site, he wanted to come back and said he missed us  said I should start a thread to try and lift the ban - but I know that aint cool with the mods, so.... what ya gonna do? Shame to lose a good, FOR REAL member though.
