We're going.
It is in part a bit of a family vacation thing - stay in half decent hotel, take kids (when they were younger) to a Science Center, or equivalent (National Aquarium in Baltimore = awesome))
Detroit was the closest one to us, and that was still a 6 hour drive, lol.

Unfortunately, I'll probably be sitting this one out fellows. A few too many things on my plate down here. I might be able to shoot up for a day to check out some equipment/drink a beer with you guys but at this point I doubt it. Have fun!

6 hours ain't long, depending on the family. This can work out nicely, gets full value out of the room expense. Wife and 2 kids and even the motherinlaw came along one time; fun for all.

If your looking for ideas on things to do let me know I can give a heads up on whats in the area... First off though I would suggest staying at a hotel outside of Hartford if your family is going to be looking for things to do during the day.

East Hartford just a few miles from the Conv center, Manchester or Vernon a littler farther but still just a few miles Hotels are cheaper. If your staying right at the Marriot where the conv center is thats not too bad because the science center is right there but Not much more then that to do during the day.

Well, everyone still heading to the expo? We are leaving Tuesday from the great white north. I think Reg has left already, heard he is travelling by dog sled down to CT! See everyone there. Remember Stil-o-matic will be the big guy with the orange shirt standing at the entrance! Okay maybe his blue suit! Hope to meet as many of you guys down there as possible!

Geez, I hope the Expo Center didn't loose power from this Nor Easter:eek2: I'll be there for sure! Waiting for this like a kid waits for Santa!
