I have 9 acres of land in Savannah,GA that I inherited from my now deceased mother. I need help identifying these trees and it's historical connection to my heritage, the Geechee Gullah People. Images attached. Thank you
Thank you!I see Pine and hardwoods, possibly Sweetgum and maybe some oak.
Welcome to the forum. At-Pro is right on. What he is calling Sweet gum, we in KY call sycamore. Others appear to be Loblolly Pine. Closer photos would help though. jmho OTI have 9 acres of land in Savannah,GA that I inherited from my now deceased mother. Same here in Alabama, but have no idea what the locals may would call it there. The only way to know for sure is call it by it's genus name Liquidambar styraciflua, also sometimes called American storax, hazel pine, bilsted, redgum, satin-walnut, star-leaved gum, alligatorwood, and gumball tree.Sycamore and sweet gum are 2 different genus... they cohabitate in Texas.
