This happens when the overnight humidity is high and the temp. is cold. Like in the teens. Fog forms and clings to the trees to look like fibers. It looks really cool until the sun burns threw the fog. :rolleyes:

Those Mount washington pics. are cool. When ever I am in New England I make a point to visit that mountin. It is a scarry ride to the top on a motorcycle.... I am glad you guys like the pictures of my trees.

As autumn approaches we always make a trek up to VT, NH to see the leaves change. And for the past 5 years the Mt. Washington road was closed due to snow. Well, this year it was warm and the road was open . . . the only problem, they said my new F-350 dually was too wide and wasn't allowed. So, instead we rode the Cog Railroad to the top.

It's an awesome sight looking down in the valley.
 
Those pics are sweet!! We had an icing in the mountains like that the other day. They were predicting snow and BAM there was all kinds of thick ice the next morning. Trees were bent over into the roads. Pretty cool I thought.
