I did that with a J-lag and a brand new narrow kerf chain on my 346. I've had it happen with a number of nails ten penny and bigger, but when it is that hardened steel...fugidaboudit!

:censored:Found one of those old steel T stakes in the center of this tree. Not one of those flimsy thin Home Cheapo ones either. Made for a lot of extra work hand splitting the stump piece by piece and of course it was for some neighbors that I gave a great price to and didn't charge them extra.
 
At my grandma's place they had a piece of well pipe staked by a sugar maple. When they finally sold it my Dad had them put in the title that there was a this huge piece of metal in the tree.

Guess he learned something from me :laugh:
