This guy would take someone’s game that they shot on public land and didn’t recover yet. He openly admitted it.
If you should ever get the chance to hunt elk in the northwest, you will learn that an elk will "spoil" within a couple hours. If you should come across an animal as described in the earlier post, field dressing it is the right thing to do. It take quite a bit of time for 1 person to dress, skin, and quarter an elk, and a lot more time to pack it out. If the shooter hasn't showed up by then he never will! Way to many people will shoot, and if they don't see the animal drop, call it a miss and walk, or drive away.....

What‘s your point? You would do the same? Not wait till there was no hope of the hunter who shot the animal to recover his kill and just claim it as yours?

The point is that you would leave it to rot, and if the shooter ever shows up I would probably offer to help him pack it out!

Nah man, I never said that. But I would give the hunter every opportunity to claim his kill.

You pack a pen to sign your tag, right? Would you leave a note on the gut pile with your name and number for him to claim his meat?

The neighbor that helped finish the bucking, helped load and split the wood with me, popped in and gave me a large wedge of Apple Crisp that his wife made. Still we are scratching our heads as to how this wood came to be left. The only thing that begins to make sense is this was Forest Service work. They are the only ones that clean up the area so nice, buck is so well and leave it all. Not sure why they did this tree. I saw no evidence that the tree had fallen. But maybe it was near to falling, and got on it early.

I see that @Short timer still hasn't answered my questions. Coward!!!

Be careful what you ask for...

Of course. That's why I felt like I was robbing a bank.
See, your gut told you what you were doing was wrong so there’s still hope. You do this enough though and you’ll end up like the dirtbags in this country.

Stick with your gut instinct so you don’t end up as one of them.

Coward. Answer the question.
Seriously, you knew it was wrong, “I felt like I was robbing a bank”. The problem is, if you keep pushing those natural ”right from wrong” feelings aside, you’ll progress into a full fledged dirtbag.

Don't end up a dirtbag. Ok?

Then you would, even knowingly pocket the 20, that it might belong to a great grandmother. Most would blanch at even the suggestion, but to outright refuse to answer is telling. What's your problem? Just feeling poorly today?

While he walked in to look the 25 foot trees over that someone else had cut but left unguarded someone else walked up to the unguarded truck he had left behind. The person saw no one in site. the person thought to himself,, another abandoned truck left in our woods to rot With a warm feeling in his heart feeling he was helping to save the planet he drove the truck to the scrap yard in the hopes it would be recycled.

You're a dummy. Not relevant one bit. Private vs public (I.e. National Forest).

Now answer my questions!
I think it’s very relevant with the entitlement mentality you have.

How many times would you have to pass by that wood lot before you convinced yourself you needed to save those logs from going punky? Say over a 2 month period you passed by and noticed they were still sitting there, appearing abandoned. Would you bust out your bad ass wild thang and start cutting some rounds for yourself? Maybe 6 months? A year? You know, to make sure the wood didn’t go to waste? Be honest now because you know eventually you would.

What's your problem?
Sorry @MontanaResident , looks like you're short-on-brains new fixation.
He's pathetic.
Look at this. He put me on ignore. Then woke up early one morning after dreaming about me and begged me to meet him in a private place to continue to stalk me. Guess he got tired of looking a fool in the wide open webs.
