As most of you know, #### Rideout was hit by a car on August 18 as he was riding home from work on his bike. After 9 days in the hospital and nearly two weeks in a rehabilitation center, #### is now at home to continue recovery. The following is a note Debbie Rideout asked that I pass along.
Greetings to All,
It has been so wonderful to hear from each one of you. I can't begin to express how meaningful and helpful your support and well wishes have been to both #### and me. We are looking forward to his coming home and the next phase of his recovery. Many of you have been so gracious with offers to assist during these times of transition. To assist me in the communication and coordination of various activities and most importantly help us stay connected with you, I have created a Lotsa Helping Hands website at http://www.lotsahelpinghands.com/c/617370.
#### and Deb truly appreciate all your thoughts and well wishes and have established a really neat way for you to remain involved in ####'s recovery (see Deb's note below). Even though most of you live much too far away to actually volunteer, the ability to keep in touch with ####'s recovery through this website is wonderful. I know #### appreciates hearing from folks through a simple note or a short e-mail. ####'s e-mail is: [email protected].
This site offers a variety of features and once you join ####'s caring community you can send well wishes, get updates or volunteer for needed tasks. Just hearing from friends is very therapeutic for #### and supportive for me! Deb Burlingham and Laura Wyatt have generously offered to help me coordinate this site.
If you would like to join, click on the above link. Fill out the right-hand side of the form entitled, "Request to Join the Community". Once you join you will be sent instructions for setting a password and signing in. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you experience problems or have questions.
You are the greatest friends ever and we love you all!
