Hey everyone, I just bought a 2000 BC1000. Overall in good conditon, but the auto feed as well as fuel gauge and hour meter are not working. Im hoping there is a quick and easy fix, any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Check with Vermeer! I have the exact same machine, and works awesome for us. Only had 1000hrs on it (ex Ontario Hydro unit) when we bought it, cummins diesel just barely broken in. Have you checked the fuses and wires to everything? Obviously bought it as is right? Just keep the knives sharp on it and regular maintenance, and it'll work great for you!

Most likely it going to be some of the fuses or relays. But yea, check with your local Vermeer dealer. Hopefully they are not too far away from you.

The auto feed has hydro pressure sensors that can go out from time to time. I was having nightmares with a 1400 last year and took it in. Updated sensor did the trick. The tech and I tried everything else, and presto. I guess sometimes a loose belt can throw things "off" too. All else is likely poor wiring, bad switches and gauges, or a sending unit from the fuel tank. Enjoy your trip to the Vermeer stealer...I mean dealer.

Good luck.
