I am a HUGE fan of the M-Tronic 441. I use mine every chance I get and then some - I use it often where my ported 2153 would be great, but just love the smoothness, aggressiveness and superb top-end burst of my C-M. I bet you would too.

That loop handle is awesome....

I've only owned Stihl's, 026, 261, 038m and 460, until about a month ago.
I bought a 562xp because.........well, just because I wanted one. Now, it is the only saw I use. I only cut firewood and the 562 is Light, fast, has gobs of power and is just plain fun to run. I'm even considering getting a second 562 and having it ported, because........well, just because I want one.
I don't think you would be disappointed with the 562. The only thing I don't like is the outboard clutch. I'm sure if I gave a chit about sideways balance, it would be a positive feature but since I don't, all it does is slow down the chain changing process.
Chainsaws are like guns. No manufacturer makes the best gun for every application. You need to look at your needs and decide which model will best fill them, or, if you're like me..........just because you want one.
Good luck with what ever direction you decide to go.
Best,
Steve

I'm a stihl guy too just because there is hardly no husqvarna dealers in my area. I would love to have a ms 441c-m but like you said a $1000 is a lot of money if you don't need that much saw and I'm not giving up my ms460 ever. I recently bought the 562xp for well yeah I wanted a 60cc size saw and really enjoyed what I was hearing about them... I wasn't dissapointed it does take the place of my other two saws the 460 and 261, but ofcourse I bring all three of them along.

Also I'm the same way I'm still new to chainsaws and while I'm wanting to learn as much as I can on how to tune them, the auto tune is very nice for my lack of knowledge.

I like my brother's ms 362 but the 562xp beats it everytime... but rightly so it costs another 100 bucks.
