Just posted some YouTube videos of one of these SC60TX machines I did some work on, some electrical faults mostly related to the harness with components wired in it that break. Covers alternator and control harness as well as RF link issues over a few videos. And how I fixed the faults so if you own one it might help fix similar issues if you have them. In another thread I outlined the performance of my deutz....
First engine got 235 hrs and the crankshaft failed (broke between #2&#3 warranty issue
2nd engine lasted 10 hrs piston in #2 broke turned sideways in the bore and broke the cylinder head. Deutz didn't want to warranty the engine again but after a protracted legal battle they air freighted me a 3rd engine.
The 3rd engine was severely detuned and they would do nothing about it! After 465 hrs I decided to go Back to NC and have Carlton retrofit my machine with the new engine it was the best thing I ever did! This machine is awesome the power is only 6hp higher than the original deutz but going from 3 to 4 cyl significantly increased the torque (or staying power) allows me to run the slough speed at 100% and cut concuderably deeper much faster!
Wow, 3 deutz engines? Just curious but what did Carlton charge you to retrofit the Kubota? You know you one of the last ones because yjy are putting Kohler engines on them now........not sure how i feel about that.
