I'm well aware of Chris and his videos. He posted at ekka's site, got flack, got mad, got banned. I invited him to another site, where he also took offense to some responses to the video, but then mellowed out and we all got along.
None of you were there, he was. While I felt the maneuver was dicey, the way he did it, there was little true risk. Plenty of strength in the wires. All power was off. He was still tied in above and to the side as well, I think.
He's told me that he prefers 3 cube rear handled saws for their power. He appears to have considerably more arm strength than most of us.
Also, by reaching out with a saw with that much length, he was able to have his body further from the action.
From seeing his other videos, reading posts, trading pm's, and talking on the phone, I got the impression that he's very capable. He and his brother travel around the country, working for various utilities, their specialty being storms and challenging work.
