Mine was cool, I came close to a thousand this week. Small potatos for most of you guys, but good enough for me! It looks like the work is finally starting to get better... about time!

Anything wild happen for ya'll?

not good 3 days work i day bidding should have done full 5 days crew .........problems ...like ooo my finger wiggles from side to side id better go too the doctor:angry:

nuthin wild. pretty wet this week. I did get to use my dump on a job for the first time. Everything went well. $430 job done in bout hour and a half. Removed damaged boxelder, left wood in firewood lengths.

I killed a few trees, did not work every day and two of those were partial.

Got some real good climbing on those two partial days though. That was the tree line I mentioned the other day. I was getting to far ahead of the ground so I quit early to save up some strength for the big silvermaple today.

That was a laugh, the crew was the arborists wife and my BIL when. She's OK on the ropes, but this was way to big. I ended up climbing the tree four or five times to help out on the ground, so I did not have time to fully block the stick down:rolleyes:

Oh well it all pays the same, I think I did near 800 this week.

If we only average $600 a week, that's 30k a year. If the winter would be a bit better I could push that average up a bit.

Took monday off to chill. Tuesday and Wed. I did 825 after school. Thurs I finished the job from Tues. Today i chilled. Tomorrow another 750 hopefully before lunch, but probably it will be around 3. I gotta stop and give a bid during the job.

I am gonna start trimmin the trees around our house if/when I slow down; oh wait, I aint slowin down:D

Its all good, waitin on about 2500 in various jobs in the mail.

Trying to build my truck (4x4) and get a GRCS and an 660.

Lot of money for that, oh and get another car or SUV (another Tahoe?) for college.

Same As RJS as far as the belt size goes, but still to wet and cold for any real $ here.
I hope it changes soon.

I don't have any winter weight this year, I now have added anything with fructose to my "do not eat" list.

Pretty soon I'll be eating white rice and chicken only

None of that stuff any more, i had to go cold turkey on the Pepesi too:eek:

Heck the stuff is in Wonderbread and the like. I gotta get the specialt stuff these day.

Corn suryp is a fructose product, it seems like 3/4 of the stuff in my larder have it in the label:rolleyes:

Well I'm eating much more healthy these days, but I just found my favorite Thai place uses it in their curry:cry:

I get the 6 gal powdered mix at Wally World, and mix it a 5.

You'll go broke buying it at a convenience store.

I always pack a full knapsack! ;)

We only worked three days..I had to do a bunch of bids.. and didn't have anything to set up for the crew. But we did around $5000, not too shabby.

Only worked 4 days this week by choice. After paying my labor and deducting $50 a day in equipment expense, I cleared $2500.
Last week was better, cleared $3450.

Still waiting for someone from Publishers Clearing House to present me the grand prize.

I picked up a few small removals and a job to remove 2 large leaders over a house. I have quite a few more that I need to get out and bid on...if it ever stops raining and dries up a little.

One of the removals is a tree that I can't identify  not that I'm an expert. It is some type of pine (I think) with soft, kinda flat needles that about an 1 1/2 or so long. The needles grow singly out of the branch. Any idea's? I will be removing this tree later today or tomorrow and I'll try to post a picture.

This week was so-so- One of the best weeks of the year in $ but I underbid too much stuff and worked overly hard. Monday was not a big day- Remove 1 16-17 inch DBH Fir from a back yard. The tree was not difficult and went smoothly but I underestimated the 80 yard up hill and over a fence pack job so I was about $85 low on the bid-got a $25 tip which helped. Tuesday was good but Hard. 26 stumps at a nursing home-all but one were inside enclosed courtyards so having the little Rayco that I could wheel down the halll made me the man. I Have no real complaint but I probably should have charged a bit extra just because I'm the only guy around who could do it. Wed a I pruned a big pear and removed an Arborvitae. Under bid the whole thing-the pear took almost twice as long as I figured on and I trashed a chain twice hitting gravel in the middle of the Arborvitae. Thursday got frittered away helping a lady from church move and bidding jobs-lined up a week and a half of work. Friday. ... Oh am I sore. I Thought I had the Locust bid well till I did it-Just a little taller and a little rougher than planned and it kept adding up. Small drop zone with one side of the tree hanging over an aluminium patio cover and the house roof ,and a picket fence on two more sides. A clothesline T directly under the tree. I spent almost all day aloft on gaffs.

I finally got set up to use my new to me chipper this week for first time on a job. Cleaned out old ice storm storm damage in silver maple. I dont think this tree had been touched in the last 10 years, it was very rough looking. I was able to remove all chips & logs in 1 long bed pickup load, I was very pleased with results of my 6'' pro mark disc chipper. I had about 3/4 load of chips and the rest was logs.
Here is a pic of the tree after. I did have before pics but I lost them.
Also will post a pic of my very first load of chips !
Real exiting stuff.......eh !
Its raining this morning....but this has been a good week, weather is changing for the better.
