Man I've had an interesting week. Monday I snapped the overdrive bands on my transmision, and the mechanic couldn't put the new one in until tomorrow (monday). So no work done this week except the one job that was close enough to my house that I could haul my top handle, hand tools and ppe to the site on my mountain bike. I got the pruning done, stacked the debris on the boulevard and will be back on tuesday for clean up. To top it off I had 3000 mailers that where being delivered on tuesday, the first set of the 15000 I have going out over the next month. How was I going to get to estimates with no truck? Well to date (they've been out for 6 days now) I've only had 2 calls for estimates. At least I didn't have to worry about getting to a bunch of people. Although I'm a little worried because I've spent a lot of money on these things and if I only get .02% if them turn in to estimates I hate to think what will actually turn in to work (60% of .02%= .012%) thats not much work. Hopefully everybody is waiting to call me early this next week.....

On the bright side, I had my first week off in 3 years. I got my own trees pruned finally. And I got to spend a lot of quality time with my little girl.

Methinks that makes it worth it, break the tranny more often, you only live once. Work to live, dont live to work (dunno who said it, but I like it).
