F3ck that monstrosity, f3ck it to the grave and beyond. Your Lowes guy will be the 2nd against the wall when then gas-can wars begin, just behind the designers of that spout. Spouts need to be a tube, with a cap, that you remove when you want to pour, with a vent on the tank that you open beforehand, if you want to. After pouring, close them both. Its not hard.

I found an E0 station on the way to the daughter's school- got her to buy 2 6 gal cans and fill them up there on the way home, which she did because she's that cool. My keyboard doesn't have enough graphic characters to describe how much I despise the nozzles on those Lowe's purchased gas cans. If I used the ones available my post would look like 80's vintage 300 baud BBS line noise.

So you're opinion is negative 😂......love it.
BUT BUT Amazon also had good reviews of these new no spill spouts.
I just wanna be cool and fit in 😂

I've been using that design for a LONG time now.

You don't even need to pay attention. It's designed sort of like a gas nozzle at the gas station. You insert nozzle into the tank, hold the button, and since the vent hole is in the nozzle, once the gas level reaches the fill nozzle, the vent is closed and the fuel stops flowing. Let go of the button and remove the nozzle. Done.

Longevity has been great. I've not had one fail yet. I have 4 or 5 of them now. Useless for filling vehicles or large tanks, but anything small engine they're best thing since sliced bread.

That's what I was told and exactly what I was looking for, thanks 👍

I just picked up one of those cans in the 2.5 gallon version. I have 2 old school 1 gallons for mix as well. I bought it because our local non-ethanol pump pushes gas out at two times the rate it seems of a normal pump, so it splashes a lot filling the 1 gallon cans. The only thing that I don’t like is, it’s hard to fill my echo blower when the 2.5 is about empty just because of the angle.

Tear it apart. Rig/disable the button.
Pop a vent line in the tank and place check valve. Cap with rubber cap.

Careful, the threads for the can are fine so easily cross threaded and leaks.

Other than these things it holds gas as stated. POS

Tractor supply sells a generic version of the vp race fuel cans in 2.5 gallon...no vent and fast to fuel with.
I have owned the 5 gallon no spill version several years now without issue. To fill vehicles I remove the spout and use a funnel. The extra large outlet on the jug allows it to pour out fast enough to overwhelm most funnels. I have stored fuel in mine over 6 months without issue.

I also own a older vent free jug that I simply added a vent kit to it and its worked great ever sense. This version needs the fuel replaced every 4-6 months due to venting or leaking the fuel volatiles.
In my opinion the steel nato or usa plastic military cans copied off the WW2 germans are the best version available today because they seal the best and let 0 light through to the fuel.

My 5 gallon has that type spout, 5 years?I'm happy The 1.25 gallon premix can has a different but similar no spill, been in use for ten years? It's good. The 5 gal diesel has long flex spout cuz the skid steer has a awkward fill location. All of them take a little "get used to it". Then are fine.
When the bar oil jug got a crack I poured the oil in a wide cap motor oil jug. I was surprised that the big cap is actually easier to pour from without overflow or messes than the smaller bar oil jug cap.. Will probably keep using it in the field.

Needed a 2nd 50:1 can for in the field.
Guy at Lowe's said everyone loves these new fangled no leak spouts.
Any experience ?View attachment 1227007View attachment 1227007
Such spouts only work on a small range of opening sizes. I like the no-leak spout on the Husqvarna combi-can; they fit my Stihl chainsaw perfectly. But on my ZTR anbd UTV, the filler openings are much larger than the spout, so such spouts don't work at all. I bought old-style replacement spouts and vents for my gas cans for those, as well as for my diesel tractor.
