Sometimes I burn wood
It seems like about once a year this subject crops up. In order to demonstrate absurdity, I have to set fire to absurd things once in awhile.
My stove is in my workshop. So it can see all sorts of "nasty" things once in awhile. Just about the time some wacko shows up to lecture me (on my own soap box no less, :angrysoapbox: ) I peel off my latex gloves and toss them into the fire....
Stuff that has been flamed:
Used motor oil.
Carburetor cleaner
Acetylene and Oxygen (gets stuff going pretty well)
Propane
Paint thinner
paper
cardboard
foam peanuts (not often)
hunks of rubber (not often)
magazines & junk mail
plastic sacks and soda bottles (not often)
blown out tennis shoes (one time)
toilet paper (not often...)
Cigarette butts (not recently, I quit the things)
Most of the time it is firewood. Little starter to get things lit.
