Whats the difference?

I bought my new saw today. After much consideration and advice from here, I went with the Husq. 340 over the Stihl 210. The dealer threw in a extra chain, a six pack of 2 clycle, a jug of bar oil and the case he sold me for $20.

The saw itself cost $269 brand new so I walked out the door for $269 + $20 and got all that stuff.

I really like it so far.

I did notice though that it says e series. What does that mean?

The e-series thing means that the saw have some faetures that is meant to make it easier to start.

I don't know how well it works, but it sure isn't needed in the first place.....

Means you pulling the cord doesn't turn the engine over, instead your pulling puts a spring under tension, and when the tension is high enough the spring turns the engine over.

It's the same as Easy2Start on Stihl and SpinStart/Springassisted on Jonsered.

In practice this means that you can pull the cord slow and easy; how fast you pull it doesn't affect how the saw is starting.
