Those are the ones. It is much better than most of the sit-coms on the tube these days. You talking about eustice and Preston .. I watch the show, but most of the time I fast forward when these 2 come on..

I was thinking the same thing.....lol.That winch sucked that log in quick. I wouldn't want to split wood that tall, standing where he is standing. His balls were in line for a serious catastrophe if one of those logs pops.
I need one.. When the logs get about 3 feet long they won't feed very well in my processor .. No issues if I have another log on deck .. It pushes the butt end no problem.. But the last log of the day sometimes is a pain .

You wouldn't see me standing like that. I like mine too much.
I don't think it's the splitter.. I have ran several different splitters and sooner or later your going to get that piece that shoots off like a cannon..That splitter doesn't bother me too much at all, as I believe wedge design on a splitter determines EVERYTHING that happens when you split...
My old splitter would pop tough rounds apart and sometimes pieces would go flying! Quite often! Same as the cheapo splitters I've used...
Then I bought my Timberwolf TW3HD, and it splits much better than my old splitter and NOT EVEN ONCE has a piece of wood come apart and went flying! I'm splitting wood from the same wood lot and it's a worlds better/safer splitter...
SO, I'm betting the "Chopper" has a good wedge design that doesn't have wood popping off and flying, problems...

Yep, a wedge is a wedge and there isn't much "design" that can be tinkered with. My hombuilt would throw them, my commercial one will also. That is one reason I do not like the 'wedge on ram' design. Those flying splits are coming right back at the operator, Wedge on beam, they are going away.
If you believe that, then you have never seen or used a properly made wedge...
