what say you about the Stihl Gearbox attachments, not the Combi-system

I was thinking about getting a hedge trimmer for my FS110R. Are they simple or a pain to swith out. saves about $300.

If you can loosen 2-4 screws, then you can change out the attachments. The guts of each attachment is the same as the Kombi, just without the drive shaft. Get the adjustable hedge clipper, it's worth the extra money.

I was looking for the same thing. You say adjustable, you mean the 135 degree. Is that really a cool thing? I haven't used one like that, but I would imagine you set the angle, and would manuever as best you can with the trimmer to do most all your trimming. I would think it would be a pain having to readjust that thing every few minutes or whatever.

I'm the type that would get it anyway, just in case I needed it for some good reason. It would be a real pain to not have spent a few bucks more and really needed it for a situation... I'm sure it comes in handy, but I would think it would be a real pain to use at times. Just curious.

Have been scoping ebay, craigslist, etc. for about 3 months now, no luck. Looks like the dealer is gonna get his soon. Last time I tried this on a 260 Pro I bought, couldn't find a good deal anywhere. Yup. You guessed it, ran into a heck of a deal that I could have had about a week later.

The hedge trimmer att. is well worth the cost, it has become my favorite tool. It is great on tall hedges.
