Plus it might not have the schrader valve at that rubber end and you would lose a little there, making it a bigger deal with the small displacement.
 
I've worked on several brands of small engines (mostly trimmers & blowers) and tested the compression in them. Most seem to fall in the 120-145 psi range if there is no visible piston damage. It is rare for me to find a blower or trimmer that is above 150 psi (which as you've noted is common on high performance chainsaw engines). The engines I've used tend to run well at 125 psi.
