Yes, it's in Centralia so you should be overnight even by ground. Even if a part needs to come from Virginia beach (unusual), the parts in stock ship immediately.

Sometime dealers accumulate orders to get over $2000, and then freight is free. Alway ask your dealer when he's placing the order... Freight on small parts is insignificant.

I have never seen a factory 034 (or 034S) with an 036 muffler. The 036 vents to the side, and the 034 to the front. Make sure you have enough air gap between your muffler and shroud, or it will melt. Replace, or fit, the reflective tape on the underside of the shroud.

Don't know if it's a "requirement" to a have the heat shield, but if you're going to be using it hard, getting the heat of the muffler away from the cylinder is real nice...

Lakeside,
This is my stock 034 muffler. (nothing inside and an exit hole to the side.) The 034 IPL shows this style muffler as from an 034 Super from Canada. However my 034 is not a Super and it's not from Canada. It's mounted with a spacer sandwitched between two std. gaskets and no heat shield.

It was the easiest muffler mod I've ever done. Remove the screen and enlarge the hole to about 3/4" diameter.

Interesting... Any chance someone changed it before you got the saw?

024

Okay then, what can I do with my 024 that's been sitting in the shed waiting for a fuel line transplant?

I've moved on to 2145 and 2150 Jonsereds, but would like to put the 024 back into service. Any way to power it up?

Send it to me.

Fred

I won't send it back.

Wah? I love the 45 and the 50! Why the twins?

The 2145 got stolen--I buy a 50. The 45 was recovered--ruined, bar to piston. So I have it rebuilt--ouch. Anyhoo, them's two good woodcutters for me. Is there something I don't know about those saws that I should?

Ho yeah, were do I get a clutch removal tool (2145 turbo)--or do I really need one? I'm going to do all my own repair work from here out.

If it's a 24 Super, put on a 26 piston and jug. If not, sell it on ebay (seriously) and get a 26 to mess with.

COOL, it's a "024 AV SUPER" Jugs huh, gotta like them jugs.

Took a closer look at it today--needs all sorts of stuff. Who's a good online source?---I'll research the locals. Already know several that ain't worth dealing with.

And thanks guys. I've done plenty of sawing, now to learn something about it.;)
