Hi
Thank you for your replies to my post. I picked up a MS361 w/18" bar today. I plan on using it tomorrow for a few hours.
After reading the reviews and comparing the 3 in the store I decided the 361 would be the better buy for what I am cutting. The 440 and 441 I 'm sure are great saws but they were noticeably more heavy. If I had logs delivered and was cutting them up in one spot I would have opted for the 441, but I have to go into the woods to cut up logs and the 44x models would be heavier to lug around.
Thanks again
Glenn

good call

I have had my 036 pro for atleast 8 years and she did 30 plus cords for me this year alone and is running strong.....this summer iam moving up to the 441 and ill see how the new saw works.....u should have many years of happy cutting with the 361

You made a good call, the 361 is a great saw and for the size wood you are cutting it will be GREAT. I have a 361 (20") and a 441 with the 25" bar, the other day I put the 20" on the 441 just for giggles, and WOW, it cut crazy fast. Later you will want a bigger saw and I would highly recomend the 441, lots of power and silky smooth.

The 361 is a great saw. I use them everyday and love them. We have two at work that wear 20 inch bars. They cut fast and start easily. I find their weight and balance to be about perfect for a felling and bucking saw. I own a 440 that sports a 25 inch bar and I love it. The 440 is noticeably heavier than the 361 but the 440 is alot more saw if you plan on using larger than a 20 inch bar. A 361 should serve you well, and should be serviceable for many years to come. The two we have a work have both survived 30 to 50 feet falls and are still kicking. Congratulations and I hope you enjoy your new saw.
