Hello all,
I seem to get tons of sweet gum around here in NJ, which I have been trying to use as furnace firewood. But it splits terribly (I mean completely it breaks apart, though it does split without too much trouble on the splitter).
Some of the stuff I was quartering by cutting it lengthwise, instead of splitting it, but its a lot of work.
Tips welcomed! I get too much of it to not do anything with it.
