neighbor wants a $100 load of wood.says he might need 2,cut to 16" length,split and ive got dry stuff so that aint the problem right now.

1/2 cord of seasoned hardwood CSD is going for $100 from the legit sellers. Price will increase in the next few months as supply dwindles.
For $140 to $160 the hacks will bring you a cord of supposedly seasoned wood with green leaves attached, that stacks out to between 1/2 to 3/4 cord.

That would be about 1/2 cord around here, as it seems to be going for 200-250 a cord.

Wow, In my area I get $120.00 a cord & thats a little high for some people. Most only charge $100.00/cord, but I've seen some of there cords. measres out to be more like 2/3 cord.
When I sell it the customer gets a full 128 cu/ft + of good seasoned oak.

Firewood prices out here in farming country are running about $45 for 1/3 cord 4'X8'X16". It isn't a lucrative business for sure. In that case it would take two "smallish" pickup loads to deliver $100 worth.
Around the city I would expect a good full heaping 8' pickup load would go for $100 though. That amount would measure out to be somewhere around a half cord.

Around here it would be about a third of a cord of cut, split, and seasoned firewood.
1/2 cord no more and no less!

I've been selling 1/2 cord delivered 10 or 15 miles for $90.
I sell all year long a 1/3rd cord of small split, seasoned oak for $100 delivered. Been doing it for some time now... 
Here's How I Do It..
I sell a truckload of seasoned firewood for $100. The customer supplies the pickup truck, drives to my supply of wood, and I help the customer load it on board. He/she pays for the firewood, transports it away from my pile of logs, and is on his/her own from there.
If they lacking a truck, I load my truck, transport the firewood to the user's home, and they add $10 to the price. I usually help unload after they pay for the delivery because I like the exercise.

For me it depends on how a good a neighbor they are. My closest neighbor is a good guy who burns only wood for heat. He never complains about the noise from my firewood cutting or the noise from my boarding kennel. He is the kind of guy who would never buy wood but is getting too old to go out in the bush and cut his own. If we get a log that is not right for the processor, ( too big, twisted,knotty etc ) we take it over to his place and drop it right next to his splitter. We have been doing this for a few years now. I figure he has at least 3-4 years worth of wood ready to go right now.
I also trade wood for services with many other locals. We all get something we need at a fair cost, no cash is exchanged, and we all save a little tax.

I'm just north of Scranton, Pa. Although I cut most of my own, I wil supplement by buying a cord or two, depending on the winter.
Just had a cord dropped of today. $130 for a nice mix with mostly ash.
I've seen $160 advertised also.

more than likely will give him a full size truck stacked to the back and over the sides a little for the $100. he is looking for 2 but right now i got at least 1 down,cut split and seasoned to burn right now. my stove takes 20" but was burning smaller stuff. this is like a byproduct of the short logs and such.
I get 145 for a half cord and 225 for a cord delivered. 8 foot bed, wood stacked neatly (not thrown) 2 inches above top of bed will be 1/2 cord. At lest that's what it is with my F-350.
