what would be a good almost daily use chainsaw

i am wondering what you guys think would be a good chainsaw for almost daily use, I would like something a bit older, I like these vintage chainsaws, I have a few but I want to see what you guys think

Choosing a vintage chainsaw for daily use is a unique preference. If you're leaning towards daily use, the Stihl 041 AV might be a solid choice. It's got that old-school vibe but packs a punch when you put it to work.

My vote goes to the ms660, if you were closer to the cedar rapids/waterloo area you could stop by and run mine to see if its something ya like.

As others have said, it depends on how old you want to go, and how big you want to go. I'm really only familiar with stihl saws, so I'd look at an 036, 044, or 046 depending on how much weight you want to carry around. If you are open to something new, I'd be looking at an MS400 or MS462.

yesterday I was given a pro mac 850 I was looking at the spec sheet and the horsepower was not listed. If you were to make a wild guess what would think it would be???

Doesn't matter what the book says, the PM850 may have been the finest of the 82cc saws that McCulloch built. Run 32:1 mix ratio or keep it a bit fat, the 82cc saws were pretty hot from the factory.
