My wife does too. Fortunately she wants a couple more saws for herself so "OK you can get yourself a used 024 if I can get an 076, or 660 or 084 or a big old McCulloch or a WHS 3t ms460 or....................." Actually she wants a 200 rear handle. Looking at an 024 for carving. She just bought us a 46" Alaska saw mill buys me chains. I'm in chainsaw heaven. Shes a keeper

My girlfriend loves the smell of race gas, diesel, and 2-stroke... can't argue with that.

If it hauls stuff, eats wood, or chews dirt... it's no problem.

If you just convinced the wife to spend the money to rebuild your 084...and... your buddy calls and says he's at a sale and just "got" you a box with 2 (two) 031 stihls and a bunch of parts. I guess I need suggestions on where to hide my new "treasure".

If you valued her enough to marry her don't you think she *might* deserve the truth?


Thank the buddy, fix up one or both of the 031's and sell one. Take her out for dinner with the proceeds. Works every time.

Some times ya got it and other times ya don't. What can i say.
How does that go. Stihl saws can be modified and all the others just moddled.
The 357 is running good, but my 09 has died, a slow death from lack of use.
