How high? 10' up, no... 80' up, definitely
That could still break your neck if it hit right, or knock you to the ground causing any number of injuries. If it has any jaggers [when it breaks] that could also cause injury.


Just better hope that if it hits someone or someone's pet/property (like a vehicle) that they aren't the litigious type.

Also, don't forget that a dead limb soaks up and holds moisture. If the limb is wet and holding water inside, it will weigh a few pounds more.
