New to the forum but couldn't resist a post - I've got a pretty good collection of old McCulloch's and a BP-1 is at the top of my list. I found a good one a few years ago on eBay. Thought I had it with a $2700 bid and got out bid. My dad was a McCulloch dealer from late 40's to mid 70's. He had one but gave it back when they recalled them. I have a BP-1 ashtray that will have to satisfy my BP-1 desiresWelll.... a mint McCulloch BP-1 pops to mind first... and if there's any extra left in the wish department.... a complete and running Eclipse Wasp... not the Hahn-Eclipse... the one made only one year by the Eclipse Lawn Mower Company in Prophetstown, IN.... and a Lombard OMS with the Homelite engine.... Those three chainsaws would make me a happy camper for a long time....
There were 2 nice ones on eBay just a few weeks ago that went in the 1500.00 range. There not as rare as I first thought they were 10 or 15 years ago.New to the forum but couldn't resist a post - I've got a pretty good collection of old McCulloch's and a BP-1 is at the top of my list.
