Allright, lots of what's the best threads, what's the worst saw out there.

Thinking of the Edsel, I'd have to say the new Farm Boss.
People either love em or hate em, and they aren't built too well.
I assume you're talking about the 029/290..
If that was the case, there are sure a lot of Edsels out there... and going /selling strong after 12 years?
Na... there are better choices...
Ok, I'll admit it. I used to own the Edsel of chainsaws.
The Husqvarna 570.
Just as heavy as the overweight 575, less power, not much cheaper, and despite all that, it really WAS a good runner.

Despite all the comments here on AS, I ended up with an 029 in a trade, figuring I would sell it. However, I ended up using it when a couple of 120' firs came down in our recent windstorm. I have to say it ran like a champ. It was set up with 18" .325 and I was able to buck up those firs easily in an afternoon. The splitting and stacking has been a different story. I sure can't say anything negative about the 029 at all. Starts great, doesn't bog down, easy on gas and the weight is okay.
How about the Husky 455 "Rancher". Not sure why Husky thinks ranchers like overweight and underpowered saws that cost more than the 350. I don't know anything about the reliability.
