Baileys said they were gonna have some available, and I haven't actually checked on it,but I was wondering if they did get their shipment or what?...What does this mean?...Is Husky gonna bring it back,or is this just a limited run?

Seems they are taking orders for that saw but will not ship them just yet, on backorder. Seems that saw disappears and comes back more often than ex wives after more child support,LOLOL

They are preselling some 372's on a limited run basics. Only thing is the price, they need to get it down. They are trying to get $80.00 more out of it. I have a tenative order on some but we'll have to see what they do with the price before they ship them to us.

We tried to get some too, only to be told we missed out, but with all the bs going on regarding them I don't think it's worth the hassle anymore. Last i've heard though is that this will be the final US run for them for both husky usa and the western distributor that supplies baileys. Supposedly it's the end of the road here in the states, and the beginning of phasing them out everywhere else too. Only time will tell i guess.

The "other" 372...

We've been told that final orders will be requested on the 440 in a few weeks, and they will be delivered in June.

The dawn of a new era... Sure..

I have bought six 440's in the last two months, and will probably buy a couple more before it's all over....I prefer husky's bigger saws over stihl's,but I'm gonna cry when I can no longer get a new 440.....The 441 is a good saw...But it just ain't the same.

I'm surprised there hasn't been any threads about the 441 and how it differs from the 440. Same with the 372/575.
I started a thread comparing the 575 to the 441.But I guess you're right, never one to compare the 372 and 575 or 440 to 441....I like my 575 and 441 both.I haven't made my mind up if I like either one better than the original or not,but that 575 is one of the most comfortable saws I've ever used.It seems to fit my natural grip perfectly, and to me that's all that matters...I could care less if something else is a tenth of a second faster.

I agree that we are kind of getting banged on the price here. Especially since I can still buy the Jonsered 2171 for $80 less than the 372.

I have some on backorder that are supposed to ship in about 3 weeks. But, I'm actually thinking of canceling it and grabbing some of the 362XP's that are on the closeout sheet. I know some guys here on the site will point out the horsepower to weight, and CC's to weight stuff, but I'll be able to sell the 362 for about $150 less than the 372. At that price, it will be a heck of a good deal on a very good saw.

I think that both the 362XP and the 365 are very good saws that were overshadowed by the 372, and never acheived the popularity they might have. Those 3 saws are a lot closer to each other than the published specs would have you believe. While the 372 is obviously the best of the 3, guys who have actually run them all will tell you that the other 2 aren't that far behind.

Wouldn't be surpriced if you are right. A Husky rep I spoke to some time ago belived that 2007 would be the last year here - time will tell........:bang:

If Husky stops production of the 372,can the 2171 be far behind? Are they both built in the same plant?Hard to believe they'd keep producing 2171's and kill off production of a big seller like the 372.
