I'd probably take my local dealers more seriously if they hadn't dropped the ball so many times on me already.

I don't really care where Husky sells their saws- Home Depot, Lowes'- they can sell 'em at Cumberland Farms for all I care- I'm not buying them locally anyways.

Besides, I have so few problems with my Husky's that I don't have to worry about fixing them anyways...

;)

The 2095 has been gone for a while around here, about a year. Have no trouble selling 2186s in its place. It was a little heavier than most anyone wanted anyway.

I was unaware of the 971 going, it is still on the price sheet. What about the 981, it was the biggest Efco?

I gotta hunch we will see replacement models at the top end. Those older ones probably did not meet tier II (that is a guess). They were also fading as far as power to weight competitiveness.

I called Tilton. The 971 is gone, however, the 981 is still there. They were on the same chassis size. I guess the 971 was just not selling. I had never stocked it, have 2171 Jonsered instead.

I never said I was going to buy a saw I didnt know anything about. I have been looking around. I am not going to buy a saw unless I can take a look at it first. It doesnt matter what the brand. I dont mind doing it with Husky, because I have seen them all. But that is all we have around here when you talk about mid to large size saws. I can find plenty of small Solo, and others. These dealers will not order a larger saw unless someone is going to buy it. I am right now only considering the other brands. I am also going by what I read on this site. As far as Husky being at HD, and Lowes, I dont care either. It is my local dealers that care. I dont buy saws from them anyway. But, it's nice to have a dealer within driving distance in case something is needed. A warranty is also nice. In that respect, some of the guys around here dumped Stihl when they changed the warranty, and the rest when Another dealer opened up with Husky because the Stihl dealer was hard to deal with.
