I used automotive fast dry enamal reducer at $35 a gal instead of paint thinner. I am guessing around $400 - $500. If you prepped for painting it a month ago, you will have to re scuff to get a good stick for the primer. I also used van sickle paint and there hardener.

Speed, and storage... but I can say that unless your a good mechanic don't go old. I can pretty much do anything on the truck from rear ends to in frames and decent at hydralulics. I bought a truck that i thought needed 4 hours labor to be job worth but it turned into 50 hours or so. If i had to hire that out i would have easily lost my but on the truck, I'm not including the oportunity cost because it would hurt to bad.

I gradiated from a 55' LRIV to the 75 foot altec elevator....

That's a GREAT truck for pruning, mostly doing reduction pruning on large horizontal branches..

Check this video.. you need that extra height and side reach for big trees..

Its been a God Send.. broke my ankle this year on Saturday and was back in the bucket on Wednesday, (on a stool), worked a good 5-6 hours on Thursday and was back to full days on Monday.

For your basic tree show 60wh is gonna be fine, you can do a pretty big tree from 60 feet and a few rigging blocks. We have a 60, 75, and 105 work height trucks, for basic removal and pruning the 60 is all you need.

but it is pretty sweet sticking the boom out from the driveway going over the roof then cutting the tree in the back yard.
