Look good Brad! I too vote for the drop ceiling.....esp on a 1st floor,if you ever want to add anything upstairs, run a cable, wiring,or have a plumbing issue, just pop out the tiles, and access the underside of the 1st floor...with drywall, forget it,gotta tear it all out.

I'm still plugging away at the basement here. All the walls are built, all the insulation is up, and all the walls are drywalled except for those you see in the last pic. I can't wait to get this mess back in order!!!

This first photo is tricky, as this wall is more than 30'.

Oh, what a mess. This whole end is Anna's, my 11 year old daughters. Think she has enough toys?:dizzy:

Here's what's behind the two small 24" doors. I figured this was a lot easier than trying to frame around them.

What you see here is all that's left to drywall.

That's going to be one sweet basement when it's done. It'll be painful if you ever decide to sell that house- looking at doing that all over again at a new place. Anna sure seems to have a healthy pile of stuff going on there. :)

My hat's off to you. You are doing a damn fine job, and an even better one keeping the basement clean with all the drywall work going on! I just finished doing a 55'x40' basement in my parents new house including installing a bathroom where there was none. I can relate to what you are going thru!! Next week I'll start on the dropped ceiling and lights.

looks good...
looks like you already have the lights for a suspended ceiling... so all you would have to do there is put up the grid and drop them in.
